Aug 31, 2019 · I'm leaning more and more towards taking the plunge on a HTP-1 but keen to learn about purchasing a UK sourced option. I had a reply late last year from Monoprice citing "EU certification" as one issue affecting lead times for potential UK availability but gave them another nudge a couple of days ago for an update and will pass on any relevant info if and when I receive it
I didn’t see any reviews on the Trinnov, and I’m skeptical to buy such an expensive processor after seeing how these other processors perform in these test, especially when compared to cheaper processors. It may be I just got a duff one, and so have had more bugs than the average owner. It seems there are a few customers in the same boat as me (apart from the fact I'm in the UK, which complicates things), and several of them were b-stock customers. Once you have a look through that you realise how much the HTP-1 provides. There isn't anything close to its price that provides as many useful features with a direct bearing on sound quality: Dirac with DLBC; proper adjustable loudness curves (a massively useful feature); PEQ; support for up to 5 independently adjustable subs; and the ability US only, but they ship internationally. It should end up around £4k factoring in shipping and tax. I've owned the XMC-2 and 8805.

The Monoprice HTP-1 provides superb 16 ch Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, Auro-3D and Dirac Live processing with a high signal to noise SN ratio and planned upgrade path for HDMI 2.1 and 8K video. This is a bargain at this price compared to the competition. I bought mine direct from the Monoprice website and looking forward to hooking it up with the 9.4.2
May 09, 2020 · DSU removed support for Dolby Digital EX 6.1 & DTS ES 6.1 Discrete/Matrix only DTS' Neural X upmixer will work in a 6.1 speaker configuration, it's odd that Dolby removed 6.1 support as there is no longer Dolby Digital EX decoding but DTS has kindly kept DTS 6.1 ES Discrete/Matrix decoding in current AVR/AVP units.
